Preparing Your Dog for a Safe and Enjoyable Walk
To ensure a smooth and safe dog walking experience, please make sure your dog is ready before our arrival:
1. Leashing Up:
- Proper Leash: Please have your dog ready with a securely fastened collar or harness and a leash.
A flat collar or harness is generally preferred over a retractable leash. - Leash Length: A 6-foot/ 2-meter leash is ideal for most walks.
2. Essential Information:
- Emergency Contact: Please provide us with your primary and secondary contact numbers and your veterinarian’s information.
- Health Conditions: Please inform us in detail if your dog has any health issues, or allergies, or is on medication.
- Behavioral Concerns: Please let us know if your dog has any specific behaviors we should be aware of,
such as reactivity, pulling, or fear of certain stimuli.
3. Additional Considerations:
- Weather: Please consider the weather conditions and dress your dog accordingly.
For example, a coat or boots might be necessary in cold or wet weather. - Waste Removal: Please provide waste bags for cleaning up after your dog.
Following these guidelines can ensure a safe and enjoyable walk for your furry friend.
